I recently changed my Snapchat password, and shortly after, I found out that my account was permanently locked. I don't think I did anything wrong—maybe it was flagged for suspicious activity or a security concern. Now, when I try to log in, it just says my account has been locked, and there's no option to appeal in the app. I've even tried the unlock website and reached out to support, but all I've received are automated responses. Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there really any chance I can recover my account, or should I just accept that I need to create a new one?

The absence of an appeal option often indicates a severe violation, meaning they probably won’t review it further. According to Snapchat's help page, if an account is eligible for appeal, you should see that option. Unfortunately, it sounds like you might be out of luck. Just hope they haven't banned your IP or device, or you'll have to use a VPN for a new account and possibly a different device altogether.

I went ahead and made a new account too just in case, but it’s frustrating because I have years of memories tied to my old one. I just can’t figure out why I got banned if I didn't do anything! Thanks for the insight, though.
