Could My PC Be Experiencing a Memory Leak?

Recently, my PC has been running really poorly and overheating quite a bit. After taking it to a computer store, they discovered a coolant leak and replaced the liquid cooling system with a CPU fan, which helped a lot. However, I still feel like everything is slower, particularly games and even basic tasks. When I checked the task manager, I noticed that my PC is using about 90% of its memory while idle. I've also run some other monitoring tools like HWMonitor and CrystalDisk, and they indicate that my temperatures are okay and my drives are healthy, which leads me to suspect it might be a memory leak. Also, I'm totally lost on what the GPU stats mean in task manager. Thanks for any help! <3

Everything you mentioned seems pretty normal. By the way, how much total RAM do you have in your system?

I have 16 GB.

Memory leaks usually come from a specific program that isn't coded well, rather than a hardware issue. You might try restarting your PC to clear up the RAM usage. That often helps!

I'll restart and let you know how it goes!

After the restart, if you're idling around 60% memory usage, that's definitely an improvement from 90%. It's still a bit high, but it could be reasonable depending on what programs are running.
