I'm trying to install Hannah Montana Linux alongside Windows 10 so I can choose which operating system to start when the computer boots. What's the safest way to set up the partitions and bootloader, and are there any compatibility issues I should know about?

You can install it alongside Windows 10 using the usual Linux dual-boot process: back up your files, shrink the Windows partition to create unallocated space, install Linux into that space, and let the installer configure the boot menu. Be careful to select the manual or “install alongside” option so you don’t overwrite Windows. If you only want to try it, running it in a virtual machine is a safer alternative.

I’ve already tried running it in a virtual machine, but I’d prefer to set up an actual dual boot.
