Looking for Upgrade Advice After Installing Cities Skylines 2

Hey everyone! I recently installed Cities Skylines 2 on my older PC, and it's really struggling to keep up with the graphics. I noticed a lot of tearing and blurring when navigating the map, forcing me to lower the graphics settings significantly.

Here's what my current setup looks like:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT
- Memory: 16 GB DDR4-3600
- Storage: 500 GB SSD + 3 TB HDD

I'm considering a GPU upgrade but want to know if it's enough or if I should also think about upgrading my CPU. I've heard the RX 6700 XT is a good option but would love to know about newer models too. Any suggestions?

Upgrading your GPU is definitely a good idea, especially for CS2. The RX 6700 XT would be a solid choice over your current 5700 XT, but if you can swing it, I'd recommend jumping to the RX 7000 series for better performance and efficiency. Also, think about your CPU—CS2 can benefit from more cores. Maybe look at the Ryzen 5900X or 5900XT if you want to future-proof your build. Don't forget that you'll need adequate cooling since these CPUs can get warmer than your current one!

Thanks for the input! Just to clarify, is the 7800 XT the class jump you were talking about?

You definitely need a GPU upgrade! But remember, Cities Skylines 2 is quite demanding on the CPU too. Depending on your budget, consider getting a Ryzen 9 CPU along with a new GPU for the best experience.
