Hey everyone! I recently picked up parts for my first-ever PC build at Micro Center and went with the MSI MAG A750GL PCIe 5.0 (750W, Gold-rated) PSU based on an employee's recommendation. At first, I thought, 'This seems great!' but now after digging into reviews, I'm seeing some mixed opinions about MSI's power supplies which has me worried. I haven't built the PC yet, and I'm contemplating whether I should drive over an hour back to Micro Center to return it for a Corsair RMx or Seasonic PSU instead. What do you all think? Should I stick with the MSI or consider returning it? Here's my build: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 5070 TI, 32GB DDR5, ASUS ROG Strix B650-A. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'd keep it if I were you. The PSU is rated decent and it’s common for competitors to spread bad reviews. Besides, if you plan to use PCIe 5 in the future, you're future-proofing your build nicely!
I hear you! I think it’s mostly future-proofing right now, but some NVMe drives are starting to take advantage of it.
Honestly, the MSI A750GL is a solid choice! It performs well and the A-G line is regarded pretty positively. Don't stress too much based on brand alone; even top brands have some duds alongside great models.
I'd say you're good with the MSI PSU. It's rated well by Cybenetics and comes with a 10-year warranty, which is a big plus! It seems to cover all the bases for a decent power supply.
You've got a B-tier PSU according to a recent tier list, which means it has good electrical performance but isn't perfect. For a first build, it sounds like it should get the job done fine. Personally, I’d keep it unless you're feeling really uneasy about it.
True, but sometimes it's just marketing hype. Many products labeled 'gaming' might not even be that great. A lot of users are happy with their MSI PSUs too.
Yeah, I get that. But if something is always nagging at you, it might be worth considering a swap just for peace of mind!
True, but how many current devices actually benefit from PCIe 5? Just curious!
