I've been having a frustrating problem with ChatGPT lately. For months, I could save my prompts to Memories without any issues, but now it seems like nothing is saving at all. I've checked that I'm not out of space, and even cleared my saved memories, but I still can't get it to work.
I'm using Firefox on my MacBook and also tried the iPhone app, but the problem persists on both devices. There aren't any error messages popping up—ChatGPT just assures me that everything is being saved. I've tried logging out and back in, and I enabled the chat history feature, but despite all that, my memories still aren't saving.
I'm on a Plus subscription and using GPT-4o, and I wasn't in a temporary chat when this happened. When I ask ChatGPT what it remembers about me, it only recalls how I customized it. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any advice on how I can fix it?

I’ve noticed that since the chat history feature was introduced, it feels like the memory savings have become a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes it remembers what I've said before, but other times it just won’t save anything. Just a thought: if you keep the chat where you discussed what you want it to remember, it can pull that information back up later. It doesn’t remember everything, but if you bring it up again, it usually gets it.
I get that! I just don’t want it remembering every single chat I have.
