This is my third revision of a high-end gaming build, and I think it finally balances performance and appearance the way I want. It will mainly be used for gaming, with occasional AI workloads.
My biggest concern is whether 32GB of RAM will be enough, but current memory prices make upgrading difficult to justify. I bought the same kit for about $99 nearly a year ago, so paying several times that amount now feels unreasonable. I may upgrade later if prices improve, but I would prefer to stick with 32GB for now.
The planned system includes a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360, ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-H motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a 4TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, an RTX 5080, a large ASUS ROG case, and a 1000W power supply. The current total is about $4,546. Is this ready to build, or are there any parts I should reconsider before ordering?

32GB should be fine for gaming, even with plenty of browser tabs and other background programs open. A typical gaming session probably will not come close to using all of it. That memory kit is extremely overpriced, though, so I would look for a cheaper 32GB DDR5-6000 kit, even if it uses CL32 or CL34 timings.
You could save a lot by choosing a less expensive case and motherboard while keeping the same RAM and storage capacity. For gaming, an RTX 5070 Ti is also plenty for a 1440p OLED display, and 1440p is already excellent compared with 4K. It has the same VRAM capacity as the RTX 5080, so it should also be suitable for occasional AI workloads.
