My boyfriend pays for an Apple TV subscription so I can watch Severance. He uses a Samsung phone, but the subscription is connected to an old Apple Account he previously used. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and we're currently traveling. When I open the Apple TV app, I don't see a way to sign in with his account without signing out of my own Apple Account for media and purchases. Is there another way to access his subscription on my iPhone, such as Family Sharing, without disrupting my account?

The Apple TV app generally uses the Apple Account signed in for Media & Purchases, so there may not be a separate app-only login. You can sign out of Media & Purchases and sign in with his account, but that can be inconvenient and may affect access to purchases tied to your own account.
Family Sharing may be the better option. If his Apple TV subscription supports Family Sharing, he can create or manage an Apple family group and invite your Apple Account. Once you accept, the shared subscription should appear under your own account without having to switch logins on the phone.
Since he subscribed specifically so you could watch, another temporary option is to use his account on a compatible device while traveling. Just be careful about changing the main Media & Purchases account on your iPhone, because switching back and forth can be a hassle.

Can the family group be set up if he only has an Android phone? He doesn’t use an iPhone, so we weren’t sure whether that would work.
