I switched to Fedora recently, and it seems to be missing many of the fonts I used on Windows. Is there a convenient way to install the Microsoft fonts, or a large collection of similar fonts? I also do creative work, so I'm looking for fonts with unusual symbols and icons that I can use for different visual styles.

For decorative symbols, icons, and extra glyphs, take a look at Nerd Fonts. They bundle patched fonts with useful icon sets, which can be handy for creative projects as well as terminal applications.
There probably isn’t a legitimate single download containing every Windows font, since many are licensed directly to Microsoft. A list of the fonts included with Windows can help you identify specific families and find legal installation options.
