Which GPU Makes More Sense for Gaming: RTX 5070 Ti at 11,000 kr or RX 9070 XT at 9,000 kr?

The 9070 XT is the obvious pick if you mainly care about traditional rasterized gaming and value. The 5070 Ti is the safer choice if you want Nvidia’s software, streaming support, ray-tracing performance, or fewer potential compatibility issues in certain games. Your operating system and the games you play could matter more than the raw price difference.

There isn’t one universal price point. A common rule is that the 5070 Ti is worth considering when it costs around 1,000–1,500 kr more, while the 9070 XT is preferable once the gap reaches roughly 2,000–2,500 kr. At these prices, I’d take the 9070 XT unless you specifically need Nvidia features or mostly play demanding 4K ray-traced games.

The RTX 5070 Ti has advantages with DLSS, ray reconstruction, frame generation, and generally broader feature support. Those extras can be worthwhile for 4K single-player gaming or ray tracing. Personally, I’d consider paying roughly 1,500 kr more for it, but 2,000 kr is getting close to the point where the 9070 XT makes more sense.

At a 2,000 kr difference, I’d choose the RX 9070 XT. Its gaming performance is close enough that the lower price makes it the better value, especially at 1440p. The RTX 5070 Ti becomes more appealing if the price gap is much smaller or if you specifically want Nvidia features.
