I normally use a wired connection, but the Wi-Fi and Ethernet options have suddenly vanished from my computer. I also can't run the built-in network troubleshooter because the computer is offline. What should I check to restore both connection settings?

Restart the computer first, then open Settings > Network & Internet to see whether the options return. If both Wi-Fi and Ethernet are still missing, check Device Manager > Network adapters. Look for a yellow warning triangle, a disabled adapter, an unknown device, or an adapter that has disappeared completely. Those usually point to a driver or hardware-detection problem.

If this is a desktop with an Asus motherboard, try a complete power drain. Shut the computer down, unplug the power cable, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, then reconnect the cable and start it again. A full power reset restored the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters for me when they disappeared.
