The "memberof" rule for dynamic groups is being deprecated, and I'm struggling to find a practical replacement. Most alternatives seem either overly complicated or extremely manual. How are you planning to recreate this behavior, especially for groups covering departments with unusual membership requirements?

For now, the closest workaround seems to be using Workbooks to reproduce the membership logic manually, although that’s definitely more effort than the original dynamic-group approach.
The announcement indicates this is scheduled for November 3, under message MC1448379. I only tested these groups briefly because they were noticeably slow, so I can see why this change may not affect everyone equally.
I only have two of these groups, but naturally they’re both tied to departments with especially unusual membership rules. I’m still looking for a clean replacement that won’t require maintaining everything by hand.
