After a recent iPhone update, I noticed a small glass-like rectangular suggestion appeared at the bottom of my iPhone 12 Pro Max screen when I removed my AirPods Pro from their case. It suggested opening BBC iPlayer, which I often use when putting on my AirPods. The suggestion appeared only once and has never returned. I didn't activate it manually, so I'm wondering whether it was an accidentally released feature, something I disabled, or a contextual Siri Suggestion that appears only under certain conditions. I've checked my settings and the relevant suggestion options seem to be enabled. Has anyone experienced this or knows how these suggestions are triggered?

That sounds like a Siri Suggestion. These suggestions are generated dynamically based on your usage patterns, including factors like the time of day, location, and what you usually do after connecting or removing your AirPods. They aren’t guaranteed to appear every time, even when all the related settings are enabled.
It probably wasn’t a permanently available feature that was mistakenly installed. The system can show a contextual suggestion once and then stop displaying it while it reassesses your habits. Continuing to use the same combination of AirPods and BBC iPlayer may eventually cause the suggestion to return, but there isn’t usually a switch that forces it to appear.
