I've read that AMD X3D processors can offer a significant benefit in WoW. Would it make sense to prioritise an AM5 X3D CPU and use a sensible mid-range graphics card, rather than spending heavily on the GPU? Is this budget realistic, and what parts, retailers, or pre-built systems would you recommend or avoid?

An X3D processor is attractive for WoW, but fitting one into this budget can force compromises elsewhere. You still need 32GB of RAM, a decent SSD, a reliable power supply, and a graphics card capable of handling 1440p comfortably. A mid-range Radeon card paired with an AM5 X3D chip can work, but you’ll need to shop carefully and compare UK prices rather than assuming a particular build will fit.
A more balanced AM5 system with a Ryzen 5 7500-class processor and a current mid-range GPU should also handle WoW well, especially if you’re not chasing maximum settings. Spend the difference on 32GB of memory and a good-quality power supply. A 650W unit is generally sufficient for this level of hardware, so a 750W model may be unnecessary unless you want extra upgrade headroom. Getting an X3D chip is worthwhile if raid performance is your top priority, but it isn’t essential for a good experience.
