Has anyone else noticed a surge in Windows driver updates lately? I work in IT with effectively no lead time for changes, and Windows Update keeps presenting different driver packages. Because these updates require restarts, I've had to reboot my device almost every day. Driver updates are allowed through Intune, but this feels like an unusually high volume in a short period.

It may depend heavily on the hardware vendor. I haven’t seen an unusual number of updates across mostly Dell systems with a few Lenovo devices, so this might be specific to certain models or vendors.
I’m seeing something similar—about three reboots over the past couple of days because of recurring driver offers. It may be worth checking whether the affected machines are from the same manufacturer.
I generally avoid driver updates unless they address a real problem. If the hardware is working normally, installing every optional driver package can create extra restarts and occasionally introduce new issues. For managed devices, it may be better to approve only tested driver updates through your normal deployment process.

That’s helpful to know. I’ll compare the affected devices by vendor and model to see whether there’s a common pattern.
