Build something you’ll actually use. A small home lab can give you a reason to keep learning: set up a Linux server, containers, backups, a reverse proxy, certificates, and eventually a Windows domain with Group Policy. You don’t need an elaborate setup; even a few virtual machines are enough. Hands-on projects force you to research problems and give you something concrete to discuss when applying for jobs.
Interest helps, but it isn’t required to feel passionate every day. Put studying on your calendar like a work task, remove whatever usually eats your time, and choose one specific learning path instead of constantly switching topics. Also, if the pattern of intense focus followed by abandoning projects happens throughout your life, it may be worth discussing with a doctor or therapist, including whether attention-related issues could be involved.
