Our home full-fiber Wi‑Fi works normally on our phones, but both of our Windows 11 laptops have trouble using it. My laptop connects but permanently shows "connected, no internet," while my partner's laptop occasionally works but usually has the same problem. Both laptops connect normally to other Wi‑Fi networks, so we've been relying on phone hotspots. Restarting or unplugging the router hasn't fixed it. Sometimes the phones lose connection too and eventually recover, but the laptops never do. We've tried several connection and network-reset settings with only temporary results. What could cause this to affect both laptops, and what information should we give our internet provider?

Since both laptops work on other networks, the laptops themselves are probably not the main issue. It may be worth reinstalling or updating their Wi‑Fi drivers, but the fact that two machines are affected points more toward the router, its settings, or compatibility with those adapters.
Check the router’s wireless channel settings. Automatic channel selection can sometimes pick a congested or incompatible channel, especially on the 5 GHz band. Try manually selecting a different channel, and test the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks separately. Also check whether the router has separate network names for each band.
