I'm planning to upgrade my gaming PC one part at a time, starting with the graphics card. My current system is a ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, Ryzen 5 3600, 32 GB DDR4 RAM, an RX 5600 XT, a 500 GB SSD, and several HDDs. My power supply is either 600W or 800W, but I need to remove it to confirm the exact model and wattage.
I usually play at 3440×1440 ultrawide resolution. I've been considering a Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT 16 GB for around $500, but my total GPU budget is up to $800. Would it make more sense to buy a faster card such as an RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT, or save some of the budget for a CPU upgrade?

A 600W supply should generally be enough for an RX 9060 XT 16 GB, but don’t rely only on the wattage number. Check the PSU’s exact model, age, efficiency rating, and available connectors before buying. For an RX 9070 XT, a higher-quality unit with the recommended wattage and separate power cables would be safer.
Since your monitor runs at 3440×1440, I’d prioritize the RX 9070 if it fits your budget. The 9060 XT is better value, but the 9070 gives you more headroom at ultrawide resolution. Just remember that your B550 motherboard uses AM4 CPUs, so a Ryzen 5 9600X would require a new AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory; it isn’t a drop-in CPU upgrade.
The 16 GB RX 9060 XT is still a sensible option around $500, especially if you want to keep money available for the rest of the system. Your Ryzen 5 3600 may limit a higher-end GPU in some games, so an AM4 upgrade such as a Ryzen 5 5600, 5600X, 5700X, or 5800X3D could be worthwhile later.
At 3440×1440, an RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT would be a much stronger choice if you can find one under budget. The 9070 XT offers the most performance, but check its power requirements and make sure your PSU has the proper separate PCIe power cables.
The CPU was already next on my upgrade list, so I’ll keep those models in mind. I may increase the overall budget if I can upgrade both parts.
