Is It Worth Upgrading to a 1440p Monitor?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X and an RX 6700XT, which handle most games perfectly at 1080p. They also manage to run most games at 1440p, though there are newer, demanding titles that might cause some hiccups. I'm curious about FSR's quality mode at 1440p—will it still look good? Would upgrading to a larger monitor be worth it? Additionally, if I play some games at 1080p on a 1440p monitor, will the quality drop be noticeable? I typically play single-player games, especially souls-like and RPGs, and I'm aiming for around 100fps. I don't require ultra settings, as I struggle to see much of a difference between high, very high, and ultra settings. So, is the jump to a 1440p monitor worthwhile?

If you're thinking long-term, getting a quality 1440p monitor could really pay off. It doesn't have to be super expensive—just make sure it has good reviews and a high refresh rate. The RX 6700XT is a solid entry for 1440p, so you should be able to play AAA titles at medium settings without too much trouble. Plus, if you decide to upgrade your GPU later, you won't have to worry about being stuck on a 1080p screen anymore!

Exactly! Plus, if we look at benchmarks, at 1440p, the RX 6700XT averages around 60fps in Cyberpunk and 85fps in Elden Ring at max settings. Dropping from max to high could give you an extra 10-15 fps!
