Is GPT-3.5 Better for Personal Advice Than GPT-3.7?

I'm curious about which model works better for personal advice—GPT-3.5 or GPT-3.7? I don't plan to use it as my therapist or anything serious, just for those times when I need to vent or make decisions. Which one provides more human-like responses and is generally more reliable? (Sorry for my English, it's not my first language!)

You know, it’s interesting—people say the smaller the number, the smarter it is! I’d say 3.5 is definitely better for personal interactions. Just remember though, all AI models aim to keep users happy. It’s important to know that they can have a bias toward what you’re saying.

While it might be tempting to use AI for personal advice, none of them really grasp emotions or human understanding. They’re more about patterns and statistics. For genuine advice or empathy, chatting with a real person is way better!

I’ve tried both, and I definitely prefer GPT-3.5. It feels more personable and has a better emotional touch. The newer GPT-3.7 tends to be more technical and impersonal, likely due to its coding optimization. If you find either model isn’t hitting the mark, try giving it clear directions on what you need, like emotional support or specific perspectives.

Honestly, I’d lean towards GPT-3.5 for personal advice. I remember when it first launched, it was fantastic, but I feel like 3.7 was released too soon and misses the mark sometimes. Keeping chats concise and staying with 3.5 seems to work best.
