With Windows 10 security updates ending soon, I'm wondering if I can still use it safely if I have a reliable antivirus program and act cautiously when downloading and browsing. Is it really that risky to stick with Windows 10?

Honestly, once support stops, you’re going to see more unpatched vulnerabilities stacking up, making it riskier to be online. You’ll likely be fine for a few months after the end of life, but the longer you wait, the bigger the risks become. It's best to avoid online banking or anything requiring passwords on such an old system past the deadline.
For a while, you could be fine if you’re careful, but eventually, fewer programs will support Windows 10, and you'll start hitting issues. Just be aware that it might not be safe for sensitive activities after a while, as the OS will be a bigger target and won't receive important updates.
It really depends on what vulnerabilities pop up after support ends. Just because Microsoft stops patching doesn't mean new risks won't be found. In fact, attackers might focus more on finding exploits since Microsoft won't be addressing them. We've seen something similar happen with Windows XP, where a patch was released years after support stopped. So, it’s really a waiting game on how things will evolve.
Thanks for the insight!
Got it, thanks for clarifying!
