I've been having an issue where my SATA SSD (an ADATA SU650) keeps randomly disappearing while I'm using my PC. I'm not a tech expert, but I've checked it with Hard Disk Sentinel and looked in Disk Management. From what I see, the SSD should still have a long life ahead. This problem has happened twice over the past two weeks. Each time, I opened the case and re-plugged the SATA cable into both the motherboard and the SSD. It just happened again today, and I managed to get the SSD back by turning off my PSU after shutting down the PC and then switching it back on. Does this suggest that the PSU is the issue, rather than the motherboard or the SSD itself? Also, I have another HDD connected to the motherboard that's been running fine without any problems for years, longer than the SSD. For reference, my PSU is a DeepCool DN650 and my motherboard is a Prime Z790-P. Thanks for your help!

You mentioned that the connection seemed secure, but it's worth double-checking everything, including the SATA cable. As for ADATA, it's not the best brand out there, mostly cheap but not very reliable. I'd recommend looking into alternatives in the future to avoid issues like this.
Just to clarify, no software can accurately predict how long a drive will last. It could fail randomly at any time, regardless of what the software says about its health. ADATA SSDs are known for their affordability but have a bit of a mixed reputation when it comes to reliability. Just make sure you're backing up your important files regularly!
Thanks for that info! I had backed everything up when it first failed, but it was still surprising to see 'Healthy' while having issues. I’ll keep that in mind going forward!
Have you tried using a different SATA cable? Sometimes the cable itself can cause connection issues, leading to the drive disappearing.
I haven't tried that yet since I don't have a spare cable. I plan on getting one soon to see if that helps. Thanks!
