My sister has an iPhone SE without insurance, and the charger broke off inside the port. I'm looking into repair options, but I've seen estimates around $400 for a charger port repair. Do you think it would be better to just buy her a new phone instead? I'd appreciate any insights on this situation!

You might not need to replace the entire charging port if it’s just the broken piece of the lightning cable that’s stuck inside. If the pins are fine, it could be a simple removal job. Just for reference, is her iPhone SE the original model, or one of the recent generations?
It's the 2022 model. The piece is really deep in the port and it's from a third-party charger that sits on a stand.
