Why Won’t My New AMD Build Post?

Hey everyone! I recently switched from Intel to AMD and installed a Ryzen 7600X3D processor, an Asus ROG Strix B650-A motherboard, and 32GB of G.Skill DDR5 RAM. I reused my existing case, power supply, and AIO cooler. However, when I power it on, I see a yellow light indicating a CPU or RAM issue. I tried booting with only one stick of RAM and removed the AIO to check for bent pins, but I still can't access the BIOS. Any suggestions or ideas on what I might be missing? Thanks!

Did you try updating the BIOS for the motherboard? It's usually necessary, especially for new processors like the Ryzen 7 6000X3D to make sure everything is compatible and running smoothly.

Important tip: definitely update your BIOS. You can usually update BIOS on these boards even without posting, so check your manual for instructions. It’s crucial for compatibility!

Here’s a few tips that helped me when I encountered a similar issue after switching to AM5. First, make sure everything is seated properly, especially the cables from your PSU to the motherboard. Sometimes if one side isn't fully plugged in, it can cause issues. Also, try downloading the latest BIOS onto a USB and use the Q-Flash button on the motherboard to update. Make sure the RAM is also compatible with your combo; you might need to check online for that. And don’t forget to reset the CMOS and give the RAM some time to train if needed! Good luck!

UPDATE: So I managed to get it to post by flashing a new BIOS, but got a message saying, "New CPU installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed." Should I say yes or no to this question?

Check that all your power connections are secure. Many newer motherboards need two power plugs for the CPU, and if they’re not properly connected, it can lead to the issues you’re facing. Also, did you wait 20-30 minutes for the memory training? Sometimes it helps on the first boot with AM5.
