What’s the best budget upgrade for my old gaming PC?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my old PC without spending too much. Currently, I have an Intel i5 6500, a GTX 1050 Ti, and 16GB of RAM. I'm considering whether the Ryzen 5 3600 is still a good option for a CPU. My brother wants to use this PC for playing CS2 and maybe Fortnite. I think CS2 should run fine, but I'm not sure about Fortnite. If I find a better used GPU down the line, would Fortnite be playable too?

Honestly, I think the only AM4 CPUs that are still worth picking up these days are the X3D models. It might be smarter to save a bit more money and invest in something better.

You might want to upgrade to the Ryzen 5 5600X instead of the 3600 for better overall performance. Just keep in mind, switching to an AMD processor from your Intel setup means you'll also need a new motherboard to make everything compatible.

Definitely consider going for the 5600 or 5600X! They offer a noticeable improvement and would make your upgrade much more worthwhile.
