I've been using Windows for a long time, and I'm finally ready to transition to Linux. Although I've installed Linux in the past, my attempts weren't very successful—mostly due to some mishaps while tinkering and improperly handling updates. I'm looking for a stable Linux distribution that can run the following software out of the box:
1) OBS
2) Steam
3) Studio One and/or Reaper
4) DaVinci Resolve
5) VS Code
I'm specifically looking for recommendations that will help me avoid much hassle during the switch.

If you're after something user-friendly and stable, both Ubuntu and Linux Mint would be great options. They support OBS, Steam, and VS Code right out of the box. DaVinci Resolve and Studio One might require some additional steps, especially for drivers with Resolve, but plenty of guides are available to help you out! There’s also the Software Center in Ubuntu, similar to the Windows Store, which makes installing programs easy too.
You might also consider Fedora, as it handles OBS, Steam, and VS Code pretty well. Just keep in mind that these programs won’t be installed right away, but the setup isn’t too difficult. I'm not certain about DaVinci Resolve, though, since I haven't used it myself.
I agree with Ubuntu; it’s super straightforward to use! Mint is also nice, especially if you prefer a cleaner interface with Cinnamon or XFCE.
