I'm using Kubuntu on my PC as a headless device, mainly for remote access through AnyDesk. It's been working perfectly as long as a monitor is connected. However, when I unplug the monitor, AnyDesk stops functioning and it seems like Kubuntu freezes. Additionally, I've noticed that the system won't even boot without a monitor. I'm looking for a way to set this up so I can work at a standard 1080p resolution without needing a monitor attached. Any tips or solutions?

You can try getting a headless HDMI adapter for around £6. It's a cheap and effective solution to trick your system into thinking a monitor is connected. Here’s a link to check them out on Amazon.
Have you looked into using a virtual display for Linux? An HDMI dummy plug is also a great option to consider! It’s a small device that simulates a connected monitor, and it can really help with your setup.
I had never heard of an HDMI dummy plug before. Thank you for the suggestion!
