Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a motherboard to pair with my AMD 9800X3D, and I have my eye on a few options that come with Toslink and Wi-Fi connectivity. The boards I'm considering are:
1. GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7 ICE
2. GIGABYTE B850M AORUS Elite WIFI6E ICE
3. MSI B850 Gaming Plus WIFI
I noticed that the two Gigabyte boards have an advantage in terms of VRM phases (14+2+2 and 12+2+2) compared to MSI's 12+2+1. I'm curious if there are other benefits to the Gigabyte boards and what the additional VRM phases might mean for overclocking. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, go with the motherboard that you really want. It's all about what fits your needs best!
Honestly, all three boards are solid choices. I'd say just pick whichever one looks best to you or fits your connectivity needs. For instance, the Gigabyte boards have a good number of USB ports (12!), while the MSI only has 8. The M version is also MATX, which is great for smaller cases.
If you're looking for better features, the MSI B850 Gaming Plus WIFI is a great option. It supports PCIe 4.0 and even has a PCIe 5.0 slot, plus three M.2 slots and Wi-Fi 7. That might be worth it for you!
