I've been having this frustrating issue where my AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d CPU is running incredibly hot—like, 95°C while idling at only 4% load. My PC crashes or won't restart, which I'm pretty sure is due to overheating. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps already. I've replaced the thermal paste and re-tightened the cooler bracket and backplate. My AIO cooler, a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix XT, seems to be working fine; both the fans and pump are doing their jobs. I've double-checked all power connections and even cleaned out any dust in my case. I'm at a loss for what else to do and would really appreciate any advice!

Have you made any changes in BIOS or your power settings lately? Sometimes those settings can affect cooling. Also, double-check to see if you connected all the cables for your AIO cooler. And don't forget to look for any bent pins on your CPU socket; that's a pretty common issue.
One thing to check is whether you removed the plastic protective cover on the bottom of the cooler before installation. If you missed that, it could be causing poor contact, leading to overheating.
Yes, I did remove that! This setup has been working perfectly for over 5 months.
I've mostly stuck to default BIOS settings, only adjusted fan speeds using Corsair iCue. No overclocking, and I doubt I bent a pin since everything was stable for so long. I’ll check when I get more thermal paste.
