I've got two external hard drives—one is completely full at 110 GB, and the other has 28 GB. I'm considering leaving my 500 GB external drive plugged into my computer permanently since I'm low on storage. Is there any risk in doing this?

I would suggest using the external drive primarily for backups and important files. You might also think about getting a larger internal drive for programs and games.
Yeah, you can definitely leave an external hard drive connected all the time! Many internal drives run 24/7 without issues, so external ones should be fine too. Just make sure to watch out for any overheating, especially if you use it heavily.
Honestly, as long as it's not being used under extreme conditions, you should be alright.
I have my backup external drive plugged in all the time too, and I haven't faced any issues. Just remember to clean up unnecessary files to keep things running smoothly.
I've got my external drive always connected to my Lenovo laptop without any problems. Just keep an eye on updates and make sure you have good backup practices!
That makes sense, but my uncle said the capacity difference could be a problem. I worry about running into errors with my setup.
