Hey everyone! I've got this old Nikon camera that I'd like to charge, and I have the USB cable for it, but I'm unsure what type of connection it actually needs to get powered. If anyone could help me figure out the type, that would be awesome. Thanks a ton!

You should be fine with a standard USB charger. The cable you're showing seems to be USB Type A on one end and something like USB Mini Type A on the other.

If the camera is pretty old, it probably needs around 5 volts and 1 to 2 amps. You can also charge it using a PC's USB port if you want!

The larger end of your cable is definitely a standard USB-A, which fits into computer USB ports. The smaller end appears to be Micro-USB, which typically connects to the Nikon camera.

Actually, that's not Micro-USB. Nikon uses a proprietary connector called UC-E6 for their cameras.

Actually, the previous comments are a bit off—Nikon uses its own USB type known as UC-E6. You can find the cable here: [Amazon link](https://www.amazon.com/UC-E6-USB-Cable-Nikon-Coolpix/dp/B00FZYL492).
