Lost Network Connection After Windows 11 Update – Any Fixes?

After the recent Windows 11 Update (specifically either the 2025-05 Cumulative for 24H2 or the hotpatch for it), several users in my organization have completely lost their network connections. The Ethernet connection just gets stuck on identifying, and I've tried disabling and re-enabling the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 adapter in the Device Manager, but no luck yet. I've also heard that previous updates have caused issues tied to the Bluetooth driver. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, do you have any solutions?

Another thing you could try is completely deleting the adapter from Device Manager, then restarting your PC. It sometimes helps reset the connection better than just disabling it.

Resetting the network stack can often resolve a lot of these issues. You can do this by running `netsh int ip reset` in Command Prompt as an admin. Give that a shot!

Have you thought about reinstalling the network driver? That's often a quick fix for connection issues after updates. Just download the latest version from the manufacturer's website and see if that does the trick.

I've encountered similar problems with certain networks where it can take a bit for DHCP to assign an IPv4 address. Check if IPv6 works, but it's strange how sometimes Windows just ignores IPv4 responses.

If these other solutions don't work, your last resort might be to roll back the update. Sometimes, that's the easiest way to resolve these major issues.

If you have local admin access, you might want to run the command line as an administrator and set the wcm service dependencies using this command: `sc config wcmsvc depend= RpcSs/NSI`. After that, make sure to reboot your system.
