I just wiped my laptop screen with isopropyl alcohol, as I usually do, but when I powered it on, I noticed a bright spot. I'm not entirely sure if this issue popped up right after cleaning or if it could have been there from handling it two days ago (I took it home from work then). Although I might have bumped it slightly with the lid closed, it didn't seem significant. Here's a link to the image I took of the spot: https://imgur.com/a/I9ncTU2. What do you think this might be, and is there a way to fix it?

You should avoid using any cleaners with alcohol on your screen. It's best to use a cleaner specifically designed for screens that doesn’t contain alcohol. I've seen many monitors get wrecked from alcohol cleaners, resulting in strange colors or completely ruined displays. Trust me, those specialized cleaners are worth it!
That looks like it might be liquid damage. If that's the case, the best solution would be to replace the screen. You could wait to see if it dries out a bit, but don’t expect it to return to normal. Unfortunately, it may be a long-term issue.
Oh, that sucks! But it makes sense… totally my fault. Do you know a better way to clean screens?
Thanks for the tip!
