I've been using my PC for about 2 years, but recently it just stopped powering on after turning it off. I took it to a repair shop where they cleaned it, and it booted up again, but the next day it wouldn't turn on. After a few days, it turned on again with a different power cable but failed after I turned it off once more. The repair shop then discovered there was no power in the PSU, which they confirmed with their tools. They managed to fix it temporarily, but once I took it home, it stopped working again. My dad even got advice from a friend who suggested it might be a PSU issue. Initially, my mom managed to get it working a few times by switching it on and off, but after further testing, it just won't power up anymore. I've tried using only one RAM stick, plugged it into a different outlet, reset the CMOS, and changed the power cable, but nothing seems to work.

You might want to check the BIOS for any hardware issues if you get power back. But I understand that can be tricky since your PC is having power troubles. Given that you've faced a lot of power outages, it could be affecting your components, maybe even the motherboard or PSU. Have you checked for any burn marks or odd smells around the PSU?
Sounds like it could be a failing motherboard. If you're getting no power at all when plugged in, you might want to consider getting it tested more thoroughly there. It could also be the PSU since that seems to be the common factor here. Your experiences with it cutting out could suggest some underlying issues that need addressing.
That’s what I’m worried about too! I’ll see if I can get it checked for both the motherboard and PSU.
Yeah, I haven’t been able to check the BIOS because it won’t power on. The power outages have definitely been a hassle!
