Hey everyone! My 10-year-old PC with the impressive 1080Ti is finally showing its age, so I'm ready for an upgrade. I've put together a new gaming PC build and I'd really appreciate your feedback on whether it's a good setup or if there are parts I should consider changing (hopefully not everything!). I'm aiming for a solid mid to high-end PC that'll last me 5-7 years without needing major upgrades, and it should be able to run most current and future games on higher settings at 1440p. I've chosen these components based on various tech recommendations and I'm limited to what's available from a local retailer here. Here's what I've come up with:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz AM5
- GPU: Asus TUF Gaming RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition
- Cooling: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk WiFi AMD AM5
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB DDR5 6000MHz CL36
- Storage: Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 2280 2TB SSD
- PSU: Corsair RM750x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold 750W Fully Modular ATX
- Case: Corsair 3000D AIRFLOW RGB Tempered Glass Mid Tower
- Case cooling: X5 Arctic P12 120mm fans
The total price comes out to about $3,226. It's a bit on the high side for my taste, but I don't have strict budget limits. I'm mainly focused on performance and longevity, so let me know your thoughts on this build!

If you want to future-proof your setup, consider upgrading to CL30 RAM. It’s faster and can really help with latency-sensitive games, and it’s worth the extra cost!
Understood, thanks for the tip!
