I recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, RAM, and liquid cooler, and swapped my old 2060 for a new 3060. The Ryzen 3 is now a Ryzen 7 and the motherboard supports DDR5. Everything works well except for the GPU—it won't start, and I'm seeing a red VGA light on the motherboard. I even returned the card for a replacement, but the issue remains. I've reset the CMOS and adjusted the PCIe settings in the BIOS; the red light went away, but there's still no signal when I connect the HDMI cable. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this and avoid an expensive tech visit?

First things first, make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook that! Also, if you have a DisplayPort (DP) cable, that might be a better option to try. It can provide a more stable connection than HDMI in some cases.
Have you tried using a different motherboard? If you have a spare, it could help you figure out if the motherboard is the issue instead of the GPU itself.
