I recently deleted over 2,000 photos and videos from my phone, thinking they would automatically disappear from iCloud as well. However, I've noticed that iCloud isn't syncing and is still showing the original 2,600 images. Is there a way to make iCloud reflect what's currently on my phone? I understand it's typically the other way around, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

First off, make sure your phone is still connected to iCloud. If it's not, that could explain the syncing issue. Also, check if you've cleared your 'Recently Deleted' folder, as that could affect how photos appear in iCloud. Once everything is deleted there, it might help with syncing!
Yeah, I had a similar issue once. After deleting, I had to toggle iCloud sync off and back on to get it to update properly. Just make sure you really want to remove those photos!
