Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on finding a good Android phone. I recently had my Samsung A53 5G break, and instead of fixing it, I'd rather buy a new one. I'm from Uruguay, so my budget is up to $200 (around 8,400 Uruguayan Pesos since 1 dollar is about 42 pesos). I'm primarily looking on Amazon as that's the most affordable option here. I prefer a compact phone, ideally under 6.5 inches, and I'm totally okay with getting a refurbished model.
What I really want is a solid camera, decent performance, and something that'll last me at least 3 years without major issues.
I've been considering the Samsung S22, S21 Plus, Google Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 7a. However, the S21 Plus and Pixel 6 Pro feel a bit too big for my liking. The Pixel 7a and S22 have a nice size, plus their cameras are great. But I've heard their battery life isn't the best, and I'm hoping for 6 to 7 hours of screen time for light to moderate usage (like social media and videos) without needing to charge until night.
So my questions are: are there any other phones with similar features and sizes that offer better battery life than the Pixel 7a or S22? Or will I need to consider a larger phone for good battery performance? If larger is required, can anyone suggest alternatives aside from the S21 Plus or Pixel 6 Pro? I'm open to recommendations from well-known brands like Samsung, Google, Xiaomi, Huawei, Motorola, or even iPhone if nothing else works!

I just got a Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, which is rugged and has a replaceable battery. It might not be the sleekest device, but its durability and longevity really stand out. It can last years without issues, and you can easily swap out the battery if you need more power down the line.
If you want great battery life without the size, check out the Moto G Power 2022 or 2023. They’re known for lasting a long time and are great for everyday use. The Galaxy A54 is also a solid choice with decent battery and performance. If you prioritize the camera, stick with the Pixel 7a, but for battery life, Motos and A-series Samsung models are the way to go!
If you want something compact, you might also look at the OnePlus Nord models like the N200 or N300. They’re not flagship quality but handle everyday tasks well and are reasonably priced. Plus, I’ve had good experiences with battery life on those!
I had a Pixel 7 Pro and loved it, but the battery on the Pixel 6 is still pretty good. It's a great option if you want something smaller and easier to handle. The camera is nice too!
Definitely! The Pixel 6 is fantastic for photography without the bulk of the Pro version.
I totally agree! The Moto G series is fantastic for battery life, and the A54 is very reliable for the price.
