Accidentally Sent My Apple Watch for Recycling – Is There Any Way to Get It Back?

Hey folks, I need some advice! A while back, I applied for a trade-in on Apple.com, but instead of receiving confirmation, I got a shipping label from ERI, Apple's recycling partner. I assumed it was for my trade-in and sent my Apple Watch Series 8 (Aluminum, 45mm) in. After dropping it off, I realized it was actually part of the recycling program, not trade-in! I contacted both Apple and ERI, but they've both refused to help. I lost my watch and the trade-in credit in one fell swoop. Has anyone ever managed to recover a device from ERI or reverse a recycling mistake? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Unfortunately, it sounds like you’re out of luck. Apple has strict policies regarding recycling devices, and once it’s sent, they typically don’t retrieve it back. It’s a costly mistake, and I’m really sorry to hear that happened to you!
