Hi everyone! I really need some advice here. My mom accidentally locked her Apple account while we were on a trip because she forgot her password. She's trying to unlock it, but she doesn't remember the passcode for an old iPhone that was traded in six years ago. It's crucial for her to regain access since her Apple ID holds important card information, photos, and emails. I'm feeling really bad for her, and I'm not sure how to proceed. Apple support hasn't been very helpful, and I'm worried she might be locked out forever. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Apple support might not be able to do much beyond guiding you through options. Have you checked out iforgot.apple.com? It could help reset her password if you follow the steps there carefully.
What do you mean by Apple support is being weird? It sounds like they should be able to help if you provide the right proof of ownership. Maybe they just need proper verification?
They're asking for proof of ownership, right? Sounds like a stressful situation, but if she can show her ID and prove it's definitely her account, they should assist further. It’s frustrating, I get it!
Yeah, we tried that. But every time she enters her passcode, it keeps saying it can't connect to the server. We're stuck in our house that we moved into recently, so it's super annoying!
