I've been having some serious boot problems with my new PC. It takes over a minute to even see the motherboard logo at startup, and it struggles to wake up from sleep mode—often resulting in a completely black monitor that forces me to cut the power to reset. After some digging, I realized that my DRAM profile was set to XMP1, which seemed to be the culprit. When I switched it to automatic, everything improved. Now I'm wondering, is it really a big deal if I leave XMP disabled? Will I see a major hit to performance or stability? For reference, my specs are: Asrock B850 motherboard, R7 9700X CPU, 5070 GPU, and 64GB of 5200MHz DDR5 RAM, but memory context restore and other options haven't worked for me.

It sounds like your motherboard might be doing memory training every time it boots up, which can definitely slow things down. You might want to check your BIOS for a setting to disable that. Could help with your boot time!
Are you talking about the fast boot option? I tried that and didn’t see much difference.
