I'm switching GPUs between two PCs. I'm taking out an RX 6600 from PC1 and replacing it with an RX 580, as I'll be using the RX 6600 in another build. My main concern is how to handle the drivers. Do I need to downgrade them in the Adrenaline software when I make this switch since the RX 580 is an older model? I'm a bit confused about how the whole process works.

When I switch GPUs, my go-to method is using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to fully remove the current drivers. After that, I swap the GPUs and install the new ones. It feels like the best way to ensure everything runs smoothly without leftover drivers.
That sounds like a lot of extra work! I've found that you don't really need to do all that if you're swapping within the same brand like Radeon to Radeon. It's often just a waste of time.
