Is a single 32GB RAM stick a good upgrade for my PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC's RAM to a single 32GB stick since one of the slots on my motherboard is faulty. I built this PC a few years ago on a tight budget and managed to find a cheap motherboard that has been working fine for me until now, even with just one stick. I mainly compose music using orchestral libraries, and I'm hitting my current RAM limit. My motherboard is a B450i Gaming Plus AC. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with running a single 32GB stick and whether it might cause any issues. Also, is AliExpress a reliable place to purchase RAM? Thanks!

What's your CPU model? It can help determine if a single 32GB stick will work smoothly with your setup!

Single channel RAM is generally fine for most applications. Many people don’t notice significant differences between using a 32GB single stick versus dual-channel RAM, especially for non-gaming purposes like music composition.

While you might experience a slight performance hit from having only a single stick of RAM, a single 32GB module should work without any major issues. Just keep in mind that dual-channel memory typically offers better performance, but many users find that they don't notice the difference in everyday tasks or even while making music.
