Is This the Correct Power Cord for My HX1200 PSU?

I recently moved and need to reconnect my HX1200 power supply. I have a cord with the correct-looking connector marked XBH-M31 and rated for 15 amps at 125 volts. I also found another cable marked XT202 and rated for 13 amps at 125 volts. Are either of these safe to use with the power supply, especially if the system is drawing close to its full 1200-watt capacity?

Either cable should be fine as long as the connector fits securely and the cable is in good condition. The markings on each end may refer to different parts of the cable, such as the plug and appliance connector, rather than different power-supply types.

I double-checked the cable, and it says XT202 on one end and XT205 on the other. I still don’t see anything labeled Type 3 or Type 4.

These power cords are generally interchangeable when they use the same standard connectors. If you expect the computer to draw anywhere near 1200 watts, use the shortest, thickest cord available with the highest current rating. A properly rated 15-amp cord would be preferable to a 13-amp one, and avoid thin, damaged, or unusually long cables.
