I often play CRPGs and open-world games like Skyrim, Cyberpunk, and the recent Baldur's Gate 3, but I've been limited to around 80-90 FPS in BG3. I'm considering two upgrade options: 1) Ryzen 7 7800X3D at $507 plus about $320 for a new DDR5 motherboard and RAM, totaling $827; or 2) sticking with Intel and upgrading to an i9-14900K for about $507, which is compatible with my current motherboard and RAM. Given my playstyle and GPU, is the extra cost for the 7800X3D worth it? I'm planning to keep this build for a few years, so any insights would be super helpful!
