I'm planning to upgrade my PC after five years and I've noticed my 16GB of DDR4 RAM is holding me back. I'm thinking of jumping to DDR5, which means I'll need a new motherboard and CPU. I'm currently running an Intel i9-9900k and an ASUS Strix 2080 Super, but I'm looking to switch to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and at least 32GB of RAM. I'm a bit stuck on the GPU though—I'm considering either the Radeon 9070XT or the 7900XTX. The 9070XT seems more budget-friendly. I mostly use my PC for gaming and streaming on a 3440x1440 monitor, so I want to future-proof my setup as much as possible. My total potential build cost right now is around $1650, and while I'd prefer to stay under $1500, I'm okay with stretching the budget for quality parts. I haven't been up-to-date with PC building since 2019, so any input or things I might be missing would be great to know! I also just saw a 5070 Ti for $20 more than the 9070XT, so that's a consideration too.

You might want to detail what parts you’re already keeping since your price estimate is a bit high at $2500. Streamlining your build can easily reduce costs!
Have you thought about trying the GIGABYTE B850M GAMING X? It's a good motherboard that supports DDR5 and has some nice features for a decent price.Optimizing your build could save some money!
I agree with that! Just keep in mind that an mATX board might lack some features compared to the full-size ATX models. Plus, have you checked reviews on that RAM brand? It sounds unfamiliar.
Sure! I’m keeping most of my old parts except for the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and GPU.
