Are My 9800X3D Temperatures Normal?

Hey everyone! I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 cooler with my 7 9800X3D, and I'm a bit concerned about my temperatures. When my PC is idle, I'm seeing around 42°C, but during gaming it goes up to about 50°C. I even noticed a spike up to 80°C while playing InZoi on ultra settings, though it didn't stay there for long. Should I be worried about these temps? What would be considered normal for my setup?

I’d suggest checking a few things: what’s the ambient temperature in your room? Also, what thermal paste are you using, and how’s your airflow? I have the same CPU with a 280mm AIO. I idle at 39°C and max at around 75-80°C under full load. Your numbers seem fine, but double-check your thermal paste application. It shouldn't be too thick, just enough to cover.

My room's around 22°C right now, and I used the thermal paste that came with the CPU or cooler; I’ll check which one. I got a bit freaked out about the 80°C since I heard AIO should keep temps better. Thanks for the advice!

Your temps look normal! Anything below 95°C is typically fine. Just be careful with thermal paste; too much can cause a mess, so it’s best to apply just a thin layer.
