About a year ago, I had an AWS account registered with my personal details, including my name, address, and phone number. I permanently deleted that account and recently created a new one using the same information. I submitted all the requested verification documents, but AWS declined to reinstate or verify the new account. Their response said they had reviewed my information and decided not to reinstate the account. I'm confused because the previous account was deleted. What's the best way to resolve this or find out what caused the rejection?

Follow up through the same official support correspondence and give them time to investigate. If there’s been no response after several hours, send a concise follow-up referencing the open case and ask for a specific explanation of the verification decision. Creating additional accounts could make the account history harder to untangle.
The previous account may still be associated with your identity internally, even if it was deleted from your side. Keep working through the existing support case rather than opening more accounts, and ask support to clarify which part of the verification failed or whether the old account is affecting the new one.

I followed up through the open case, but I still haven’t received an update after about 12 hours.
