I'm a home user diving into Rocky Linux, particularly for a VFX setup. I'm looking for effective ways to manage 3-4 Rocky boxes, each with their own IPs, backups, and names. For example, I want to keep track of the IPs and names for Rocky 1, Rocky 2, and so on, along with their respective backup systems, like Rear ISO backups and data backups. I plan to access these machines remotely through ether-wake WOL and Tailscale for RDP and SSH backups. Any suggestions on a good labeling system or management tool would be really helpful. Thanks!

You might want to explore some of the Linux-focused communities, as they can provide more tailored advice for your specific setup. This place is more for professional sysadmins, so keep that in mind!
You might want to check out Ansible for managing your boxes. It's a great automation tool that can help keep everything organized. Just set up your inventory with the details you want, and you can manage all of them efficiently.
Ansible is indeed awesome! It automates so much for you, and when combined with Terraform, it covers most of your infrastructure management needs.
Considering your context, sticking to communities that focus on home labs or personal setups could provide more relevant insights tailored to your needs.
Totally agree! Ansible paired with Terraform can really simplify the process. You can manage resources and ensure consistency across your machines.
