Can I Merge Two NVMe Drives into One?

I'm sitting on two identical 970 Evo Plus drives and I'm thinking about using one as an external emulation drive since my internal drive is packed. I have an enclosure for one, but I started wondering if there's a way to put both drives in one enclosure and merge them into a single drive. Is that even doable?

Check out NVMe RAID enclosures. There are options out there like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Bay-Raid-SSD-Enclosure/dp/B0DNRZLRMK?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A5K3FBK9SO1XR&gQT=0. Just keep in mind that not all enclosures will support RAID setups!

It's totally possible if your enclosure supports RAID 0 or JBOD. Just be careful because using two external drives in RAID over USB can be tricky—USB connections can drop unexpectedly, which can mess up your data. I’d suggest using them as separate drives instead to keep your data safe.

Thanks for the heads up! I plan to keep the enclosure plugged in most of the time unless I'm moving the PC. I'll explore my options more to see what fits for my needs.
